Hatfield Township 2011 Collection Schedule

Branch and Leaf

Hatfield Township will hold its Spring Branch and Leaf pick-up
on the following dates township-wide:

April 4th – April 8th

Hatfield Township Public Works will pick up branches placed curbside beginning at 6 a.m.

Branch Guidelines: Tree branches should be cut into lengths as long as possible with a maximum diameter of 5”. NO FIREWOOD. All branches should be placed at the curb line or edge of the driveway without obstructing the sidewalk. Please keep in mind that this program is for disposal of tree branches that naturally fall as a result of weather and age. Root balls, hedges, or grass clippings should be collected by your private trash service. NOTE: Hatfield Township will not pick up any branches left by professional tree services or felled trees. Intent is for minor tree trimmings and branches.

Branches can also be dropped off at the Public Works Building on Earth Day - Saturday, April 16th from 8AM to 12 PM. Branches can still be dropped off the at the Christmas Tree Drop-Off site (located behind the police department) until Saturday, April 30th.

J.P. Mascaro will pick up leaves placed in special bags placed curbside beginning at 6 a.m.

Leaf Guidelines: Leaves must be in biodegradable brown paper bags (available at the Hatfield Township Municipal Building, 4 bags for $1). You can also purchase bags at the home improvement or grocery stores.

Remember the collection is township-wide, no zones are established. We encourage you to get your branches and leaf bags curbside before 6 a.m. on Monday, April 4th. They will be picked up by Friday, April 8th.
