The Aquatic Angel Brigade is an opportunity for member adults (residents and non-residents) to serve their aqua-community as volunteers. Aquatic Angels should be strong in communication skills, family-oriented, and fun-loving. No water rescue or actual swimming skills are necessary for participation in this volunteer program.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Act as ‘guardian angels’ around the Aquatic Center site.
- Greet and welcome patrons throughout the grounds of the Aquatic Center.
- Volunteer morning and/or evening plant and flower care.
- Oversee needs at the Aqua Store.
- Act as a liaison between younger staff and patrons.
- Oversee little ones as parents swim.
Shift Rotations
Aquatic Angels will work with the Public Relations Supervisor for their deck rotation. They will be the main liaison between the Aquatic Angel Brigade and the Aquatics personnel. One shift per week is expected, with no more than two shifts allowed. A courtesy compensation guest pass will be issued at the end of each week for each shift worked by the Aquatic Angel.
Shift rotations will be Monday through Sunday:
-
noon to 2 p.m.
-
2 to 4 p.m.
-
4 to 6 p.m.
Application and Training
The completed application form with general information and special interests of the volunteer is required for participation. The standard clearance check for services will be required for participation. There will be a casual training session at the Hatfield Township Municipal Building later in the spring. Shirts, totebags, and name badges will be given to each Aquatic Angel.
