Registrations are now being accepted for a race with both five and ten-mile courses, a five-mile walk option, a one-mile fitness walk and a ½-mile kids' race, offered by Hatfield Township and Act Sports Management Sunday, April 14.
We are pleased to add that this is the event that just received mention in the March 2012 issue of Philadelphia magazine as a "race worth lacing up for". Click here to see article.
Awards will be presented to the top male and female winners within a number of age brackets, to masters winners, and to the top-placing runner living in Hatfield Township.
The main race, beginning at 9 a.m., directly follows the kids' race at 8:45 a.m. The 1 mile fitness walk will begin after the main race.
Activities, rain or shine, start and end in the Hatfield Community Park, 2500 N. Chestnut St., Hatfield, with the course itself winding through residential streets and through parks.
Pre-registration by March 24, which guarantees the registrant an event tech shirt shirt, is $27. Registration after March 24 and the day of the race is $35, and shirts are first come. The one-mile fitness walk and the kids' race have a $10 registration fee.
The race is on a flat and fast wheel-measured course, with water stations, refreshments, door prizes and goodie bags for registrants and a DJ to emcee event highlights. The Five & Dime Race may be run singularly, or as one of three races in the 2013 Hat Trick Race Series. Register online at www.active.com.
