Lions Club Membership Drive
TO MEN & WOMEN RESIDING & WORKING IN HATFIELD HATFIELD LIONS MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
The Hatfield Lions, a volunteer organization of your friends and neighbors dedicated to serving the needy and less fortunate in our area since 1939, is seeking new members. We are part of Lions Clubs International, one of the largest service organizations in the world with over 1,300,000 members in over 200 countries. Our club of 20 members is made up of ladies and men (many are husband and wife teams) living and working in the Hatfield area.
Some of the humanitarian & volunteer community activities we conduct, fund, sponsor & support:
- Eye exams and glasses for the poor.
- Collecting used eye glasses.
- Specialty Devices for Sight Impaired Resident.
- Leader Dog School Program and Leader Dogs for Blind Residents.
- Lions Eye Bank, Sight, Hearing & Diabetes Research.
- Lions Campsite for the Impaired.
- Hatfield Easter Egg Hunt (For over 60 years).
- Hatfield Little League, Scouts, & War Memorial.
- Hatfield Food Cupboard & Pastoral Fund.
- Hatfield Community Christmas Committee.
- North Penn High School Scholarship Awards.
- Funds for Needy Residents in Hatfield.
- Donations to Hatfield Aquatic Center.
- Hatfield Community Awareness Night.
We raise money for our humanitarian activities through coin collections, hoagie coupons, Easter & Christmas candy sales; contributions from residents and businesses in Hatfield and contributions from Lions Club members.
Annual membership dues are $49-$54 per person which is then submitted to International, State, and County Lions.
Our meetings are two evenings a month (Except July), one on the first Thursday of the month and a dinner meeting at a local restaurant on the third Monday of the month. Meetings are directed towards developing fellowship.
