HATFIELD TOWNSHIP RINGS IN 2011 BY OFFERING NEW CONVENIENT HOURS AND EXPANDED USES OF THE COMMUNITY ROOM
Hatfield, Pa – The Hatfield Township Board of Commissioners will be offering expanded office hours on Wednesdays to 6:00 p.m. to accommodate those residents who cannot utilize township services during the normal office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Therefore residents, who want to drop off permits, pick up recycling bins, schedule inspections or just utilize township services can do so conveniently. The 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. hours will stay the same on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The office will be closing at 3:00 p.m. on Fridays.
Recent policy changes will now allow for greater community use of the township’s community room for social functions, such as birthday parties and showers. Continued use for educational, non-profit and homeowners associations will still be permitted. The community room boasts approximately 1,400 square feet of space with accommodations supporting up to 75 people for social functions and 150 people for classroom events. An attached kitchen is an available option that includes use of the microwave, sink and refrigerator for anyone who wishes to serve food and drink. The Township requires that a contract be signed along with a security deposit and room fee.
