Winter Weather Parking and Shoveling Regulations

With winter weather in full swing, please be advised if the township declares a snow or ice emergency, that no cars are permitted to be parked on any street or highway in Hatfield. Failure to abide by the parking rules, could result in car towing at the owner’s expense. The township also wants to remind residents that any cars left are left unattended or prevent efficient snow removal in Hatfield may also be towed at the owner’s expense as authorized by Hatfield Township Police or the township Commissioners. 

Hatfield  Township reminds residents about personal responsibility during the winter months  and advises residents they are responsible for the shoveling of all sidewalks around the perimeter of their respective home, including fire hydrants and handicapped ramps which allow access to the street. 

Additionally, the township recognizes that during these months residents will be shoveling their properties, and is asking for full cooperation about how to remove unwanted snow. Be advised, it is against township laws to throw, shovel, or plow snow into communal streets.
