For more than 50 years, this land adjacent to the former American Olean Tile Company was traditionally loaned by the business for use by youth softball and Little League teams. American Olean was sold in the 1990s, and Hatfield Township and Lansdale Borough joined together in 1997 to buy 14 acres for joint operation. (Funding came from the Montgomery County Open Space funds program). This park is heavily used and very functional, and more trees and public parking have enhanced its appeal.
