Recycling Collection
Residents of Hatfield Township are required to recycle clear and colored glass, #1 and #2 plastics, aluminum, and newspapers. Your private hauler is required to pick up these recyclable items, and a free recycling bin is available from the township to all residents. Stop by the Hatfield Township Municipal Building during office hours to receive yours.

Cardboard and Yard Waste Drop-Off
Third Saturday of every month from 8 a.m. to noon

Because most trash haulers will not collect corrugated cardboard with regular recycling, Hatfield Township offers a monthly drop-off at the Hatfield Township Public Works Building, located on the corner of Unionville Pike and Richmond Road.

Residents may also drop off moderate portions of yard waste, such as leaves, garden residue, shrubbery, and tree branches (small twigs) monthly as well. Hatfield Township cannot accept grass clippings at this time.

Leaf Pickup
A subcontractor for the township picks up the leaves three times in the fall and once in the spring. The subcontractor will send out a letter, notifying residents of the pick up dates. Leaves must be in biodegradable brown paper bags that are available at the township administration office for 25 cents each. You can also purchase biodegradable bags at local stores like Lowes or Home Depot. Check the township news page close to collection dates for updated information.

Tree Branch Pickup
Tree branch pickup takes place twice in the fall and once in the spring. Collection takes place in October and April on different days according to area. A collection map is provided in the Fall newsletter each year. Check the township news page in the fall and spring for updated information. Tree branches should be cut into lengths as long as possible with a maximum diameter of 5 inches. NO FIREWOOD. All branches should be placed at the curb line or edge of the driveway without obstructing the sidewalk. This public service is for fallen tree limbs and pruning, not for the byproducts of tree removal or landscaping. Piles should be reasonably sized. The township reserves the right not to collect excessively large branch piles.

Christmas Tree Drop-Off
After the holiday season is over, bring your Christmas trees to the Hatfield Community Park and Pool. You can leave the trees in a designated area and they will get recycled. You can bring your trees as soon as December 26 until the end of January.
