Biography
Currently serving his second term of office, Scott Brown has been a township resident since 1976. Mr. Brown currently resides in Ward I with his wife Sandra. Mr. Brown is a retired mathematics teacher who taught his first four years in the North Penn School District. He retired after 35 years of teaching from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in the Colonial School District.
Mr. Brown has a bachelor’s degree
from Bluffton College in Bluffton, Ohio, and his master’s
degree in Mathematics from University of Oklahoma.
Mr. Brown enjoys bicycling, skiing, hiking, and traveling. Although this is his first elected public office, he served for many years on the Board of Directors for the National Education Association.
Mr. Brown served as President of the Board of Commissioners from 2006 to 2011.
Commissioner Brown's term runs through 12/31/11.
Commissioner Brown is Chair of the Administration, Planning & Zoning, and Public Safety committees. He also serves on the Finance and Pension Trustee committees.
