Biography
John is a longtime resident of Hatfield Township. He and his wife Kathleen moved to Hatfield in 1972 and raised their four children, Michele, Denise, Jennifer, and John here.
John Thinnes has over 30 years experience, both in management, training and organizational development. John spent 12 years with Exxon Company, USA, as a manager of a large data processing department. He received a doctoral degree in adult education and group process and has specialized in helping individuals learn and implement change within organizations for the past 20 years. During this time, John has worked with all levels of management within a variety of business and industrial organizations.
John is also the Director of the Training and Organizational Development Graduate Program at Saint Joseph’s University. He teaches graduate courses in leadership, change, learning methods, facilitating and consulting skills. John has presented to the American Society for Training and Development, National and Regional Organizational Development Network, Human Resources Conference of Pennsylvania, Food Marketing Institute in Washington, D.C., and the Association for Continuing Education.
John has been a member of Organization Development Network (ODN), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) for many years.
