Thomas C. Zipfel |

Biography
Thomas C. Zipfel has been a resident of Hatfield Township
since 1996. Tom believes in giving back to the community,
and since 1996 he has been actively involved as a volunteer
at the Support Center for Child Advocates; a center that
provides legal assistance for abused and neglected children
in Philadelphia. Other community service includes: Winners
on Wheels, St. Maria Goretti Finance Committee, and the
St. Maria Goretti CYO Board.
Additionally, Tom serves as secretary
for the Hatfield Township Civil Service Commission and is
heavily involved with the Hatfield Park Commission. He is
a member of Associated Builders and Contractors and is also
a member of the Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Pennsylvania
Bar Associations. The Philadelphia Business Journal named
Tom as a recipient of the 15th annual “40 Under 40”
award.
Currently, Tom is General Counsel and
director of human resources for Worth & Company, Inc.
He received his bachelor’s degree in political science
from Villanova University, and went on to attend Widener
University School of Law.
Tom and his wife, Sue, enjoy raising their 2 children, Maggie
and Owen, in Hatfield Township. After the workday ends,
Tom shares his zeal for sports with many young athletes
in the Hatfield area as a volunteer soccer, basketball,
and softball coach.
Commissioner Zipfel was voted in as President of the Board of Commissioners in 2011, and his term runs through 12/31/2013.
